All of the yearly regulation changes, differences from state-to-state, qualification guidelines, and the sheer number of plans can leave you unsure of where to turn. What is Medicare?

Medicare is a federal health insurance program designated for individuals 65 and older, or other individuals who qualify due to a disability.

 

Medicare Consists of 4-Parts

Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance)
Covers inpatient hospital stays, care in a skilled nursing facility, hospice care, and some home health care.

Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance)
Covers certain doctor services, outpatient care, medical supplies, and preventive services.

Medicare Part C (Private Insurance / Supplemental Option)
Part C plans are offered through private insurance companies and approved by Medicare. They are also known as Medicare Advantage plans. Before enrolling in a Part C Medicare Advantage plans, you must first enroll in Original Medicare Parts A and B.

Medicare Part D (Prescription Drug Coverage)
Part D adds prescription drug coverage to:

    • Original Medicare
    • Some Medicare Cost Plans or Advantage Plans

Dental / Vision / Hearing

Since dental, vision, and hearing are not commonly included in Medicare Supplement Plans, these vital health areas often go uncovered. At I&I we want to change that; we want you to have coverage for ALL of your health needs.
